Our Story

Treasure Coast Scavengers began with a conversation between my wife and me about how to give back to the community in a way that felt fun, personal, and different. At first, it was simply us using our own money to create hidden cash drops around town as a small way to give back to the community we love. As more people joined in, shared their excitement, and local businesses began to support what we were building, it became clear this was growing into something bigger than the two of us. What started as a simple way to give back grew into a larger mission: creating meaningful experiences that bring people together through adventure, generosity, and community.

Our mission is to spark connection and kindness through adventure. We create free, family-friendly scavenger hunts that invite people to get outside, explore local treasures, and experience the joy of giving. Each event is designed to strengthen community bonds and create memories that last beyond the final clue.

Josh Harris

CEO & Co-Founder

Josh leads Treasure Coast Scavengers with a strong belief that adventure can bring people closer. His background in operations and technology, shaped by values rooted in military and public service, brings integrity, discipline, and care to the organization. Alongside Shelley, he helps turn vision into meaningful experiences that uplift the Treasure Coast. He remains deeply committed to building something that serves the community with purpose.

Shelley Harris

COO & Co-Founder

Shelley is the heartbeat behind Treasure Coast Scavengers. With deep roots in Vero Beach and a genuine love for people, she is the heart and the force behind the experience. As a real estate agent with local knowledge and strong community ties, she brings a real understanding of the people and places that make this region special. Her desire to give back and bring people together continues to guide the organization.
